Seminar with prof. Paul Jackson (University of Birmingham)

We invite all interested staff and students in the discussion seminar conducted by prof. Paul Jackson – high-class expert in the field of research of security, development and Sub-Saharan Africa, former Head of the School of Government and Society at the University of Birmingham.

The meeting will be held on 7 March 2014, at 10:00 AM in the Seminary Hall of the Auditorium Maximum. Seminar is organized by JU National Security Scientific Circle and Dr. Jakub Stępień.

Paul Jackson is a political economist working predominantly on conflict and post-conflict reconstruction. A core area of interest is decentralisation and governance and it was his extensive experience in Sierra Leone immediately following the war that led him into the area of conflict analysis and security sector reform.

Among others significant activities, Professor Jackson was also a director of the Global Facilitation Network for Security Sector Reform (GFN-SSR).
