We invite the academic community of Institute of Political Science and International Relations of the Jagiellonin University to take part in the inaugural lecture combined with the official start of the new academic year 2019/2020 at the Faculty of International and Political Studies.

The ceremony will take place on October 1 at 16.00 in the the building of the Faculty of Law and Administration at ul. Krupnicza 33a.

Inaugural lecture entitled "Waking up to Smart Surveillance" will be delivered by prof. David Lyon from Queen's University, sociologist and lawyer, Director of the Surveillance Studies Center (https://www.queensu.ca/sociology/people/faculty/david-lyon and https://www.sscqueens.org/people/david-lyon).
