The Department of National Security of the Institute of Political Sciences and International Relations, Jagiellonian University in cooperation with the Territorial Defense Forces Command is proud to invite to the lecture by Major General (ret.) John L. Gronski on „The command of volunteer forces and their collaboration with operational forces”.

The lecture will take place at the Faculty of International and Political Studies (Kraków, 4 Reymonta St), room 038, on the 15th of October 2021 (Friday), starting at 10.00 pm. It will be followed by Q & A session. The lecture and debate will be held in English.

John L. Gronski is a United States Army Major General (ret.), consultant, advisor, founder and CEO of Leader Grove Consulting LLC, Nonresident Senior Fellow with the Transatlantic Leadership Program at the Center for European Policy Analysis. He holds a Master degree of Strategic Studies from the United States Army War College. In addition, he completed numerous courses, including: National Security Leadership Course at Syracuse University, Joint Task Force Commanders Course (NORTHCOM) and Senior Executives in National and International Security (SENIS) at Harvard University. On his active duty, he held numerous positions in the US Army, including Deputy Commanding General, United States Army Europe, Commander of the 28th Infantry Division. He served in the Pennsylvania Army National Guard.

He is an author of two books: The Ride of Our Lives: Lessons on Life, Leadership, and Love (Xulon Press, 2020) i Iron-Sharpened Leadership: Transforming Hard-Fought Lessons Into Action (Fidelis Publishing, 2021)
