Seminar "Conflict in Ukraine and its future"

On March 26, 2018, Department of National Security of the Jagiellonian University and the Regional Center for International Debate in Krakow organized a scientific seminar devoted to the current determinants of the conflict in Ukraine. The meeting was attended by: Prof. Lubow Zhvanko - director of the Polish-Ukrainian Center for Culture and Education in Kharkov, Dr. Tomasz Lachowski from the University of Lodz, Dr Rafał Kęsek from the Department of Ukrainian Studies of the Jagiellonian University and Dr Piotr Bajor representing the co-organizer of the seminar Department of National Security of the Jagiellonian University.

During the seminar, the legal aspects of the conflict, the state of implementation of the Minsk agreements and the prospects for its settlement have been discussed. The speakers also analysed the process of socio-economic reforms implemented in Ukraine after the revolution of dignity. During the meeting, the issue of Ukraine's cooperation with the NATO and the European Union have been also discussed.
