New book by staff from the Department of Political Communication and Media Policy

New book by staff from the Department of Political Communication and Media Policy

We are pleased to announce that a new publication (e-book) devoted to selected aspects of political communication in the media society era has recently been published. The authors focused on the phenomena that are perhaps of most concern today: the indistinguishability of truth from untruthn in the discourse on public affairs, information from disinformation, honesty from dishonesty. It is a book about questions posed by experts (researchers, creators), the most active participants in the debate (politicians, media institutions), and ordinary 'inhabitants' of the cyberspace - digital citizens and users of network services. In the reflections, the authors Monika Ślufińska, Katarzyna du Vall, Bartosz Kwieciński, Beata Zając and Jakub Żurawski try to get closer to the answers.

At a time when a disturbing (anti-)quality in dealing with facts is becoming more and more common, the book (Dis)information in times of (post)truth will be a guide for teachers and local social activists. It will certainly become a must-read for students and schoolchildren, as well as for all those who are interested in broadening their media awareness and improving their skills in navigating the environment of contemporary politics.
