"Polish Intelligence Studies. The Status and Prospects of Research" - new book by the staff of Chair in National Security

We are pleased to announce that the latest book by employees of the Department of National Security of the INPiSM has just been published. We recommend reading.

About the publication:

The issues of intelligence and counterintelligence have emerged in Polish universities both as a teaching subject and as a topic of academic writing and scientific research. Profiled study programmes and specialization tracks have been created, and representatives of intelligence services have been visiting academies to inform, educate and, above all, recruit. Although the Polish community of researchers pursuing intelligence studies is small, it can be proud of rich and diverse achievements. Artur Gruszczak, Arkadiusz Lewandowski and Arkadiusz Nyzio undertook the task of conducting an intellectual inventory of Polish intelligence studies by analyzing the directions of research, identifying their strengths and weaknesses and pointing to "stranger tides". They asked not only researchers but also intelligence practitioners about the current state and prospects for the development of Polish intelligence studies. The authors claim that both Academia and intelligence services should engaged with the topics of intelligence and counterintelligence by adopting a balanced approach to mutual cooperation However, the authors pose the questions: Are they ready for this? And do they even speak the same language?
