Participation of a KBN employee in the international study "RUSSIAN WAR AGAINST UKRAINE. LESSONS LEARNED CURRICULUM GUIDE” recommended for use by 31 NATO member states

In July 2023, Prof. Ph.D. Dariusz Kozerawski (National Security Chair, Jagiellonian University) took part in the international scientific and expert conference on Russian War against Ukraine, organized by the NATO Headquarters in Gdynia as part of the DEEP (Defense Education Enhancement Program) with the participation of: George C. Marshall Center's Partnership for Peace Consortium, RAND Corporation, Baltic Defense College, Polish Naval Academy and National Defense University in Kiev. During the conference, international task forces developed conclusions from the current course of the full-scale armed conflict in Ukraine, which were used in the "Russian War against Ukraine. Lessons Learned Curriculum Guide” issued by NATO Headquarters in December this year. This manual, in accordance with the recommendation of the Alliance authorities, will be used by 31 Member States in their Professional Military Education and by partner countries.

Prof. Dariusz Kozerawski led an international task team preparing applications and didactic documents on Russian and Ukrainian Operational and Strategic Perspectives, enriched with multimedia presentations. The team included researchers from Poland, Canada and the National Defense University in Kiev.

The participation of a Jagiellonian University researcher in this project is a tangible example of the use of scientific research results (related to their use in the process of education and training of NATO countries and other partner countries) in cooperation with the external environment in an international, supra-regional dimension.
