Inauguration of the academic year at the Institute of Political Sciences and International Relations of the Jagiellonian University
On October 2, the inauguration of the academic year took place at the Institute of Political Sciences and International Relations of the Jagiellonian University. The ceremony was opened by the Head of INPiSM prof. of UJ Robert Kłosowicz, PhD, who welcomed the Rector's and Dean's authorities, a group of professors, all employees and numerous students of the Institute.
The Dean of the Faculty of International and Political Studies, Prof. Zdzisław Mach, PhD, and Prof. Stanisław Kistryn, PhD - Jagiellonian University Deputy Rector for Research and Structural Funds, were also present.
In the next part led by Dr. Piotr Bajor - acting Deputy Head of INPiSM for Educational Affairs, the matriculation of first year students took place. Then representatives of the students' associations briefly presented their organizations and invited new students to join their activities.
The last part of the ceremony was the inaugural lecture entitled "On the essence of liberal democracy", delivered by Prof.Bogdan Szlachta, PhD
