Students supervised by prof. Janusz Węc won the final Oxford debate organized by the European Commission

On the 6th of April 2017 the final of European Oxford debates took place at Cracow University of Economics. This event was organized by the European Commission Representation in Poland within the Team Europe & the art of debate project. The debate motion was that: Brexit is a real opportunity to strengthen the European Union. Two teams of students joined the competition. Anna Moskal, Katarzyna Waszkiewicz, Jan Kłapa and Karolina Sek were the members of the proposition team, and their supervisor was prof. dr hab. Janusz Węc, the Jean Monnet Chair EUCRIS project manager and Team Europe expert. The opposing team  was represented by Mikołaj Bać, Jerzy Calik, Bartłomiej Janiczak and Mikołaj Kluczewski, and was supervised by dr hab. Marta Witkowska from the University of Warsaw.

The debate was very fierce. Finally, three jurors decided (by a ratio of 2:1) that the proposition team won the debate.
